The DMZ itself and areas to the South Vietnam saw plenty of action and experienced a high military presence during the American War. However, the area is still home to some of the most interesting Vietnam Tourist sights . As you head south from the DMZ you reach the Historic town of Hue and Hoi An , two of the most relaxed places you'll find.

DMZ - Demilitarized Zone

The idea of partitioning Vietnam had its origins in a series of agreements concluded between the USA, UK and the USSR at the Potsdam Conference, which was held in Berlin in July 1954. For logistical and political reasons, the Allies decided that the Japanese Occupation forces to the south of the  16th parallel would surrender to the British while those to the north would surrender to the Kuomintang ( Nationalist) Chinese Army led by Chaing Kaishek.

  2. If you have a chance to visit Myanmar, you should make time for a Kalaw Inle lake trek 2 days. Inle Lake is one of the most famous tourist attraction of Myanmar. Visiting Inle lake you can come to the traditional crafting village which lies near the river's edge. You must be surprised by the way the locals use the threat which is made of lotus stalk to weave. Each clothing with the dimension 1.2*0.8 m can cost about hundred thousand of dollars. Inle Lake is also the best place to watch the sunset. That must be romantic for you and your partner to watch the sunset together in a dugout.
