Visiting Vietnam and other Indochina peninsula reminds one name to anyone's mind, South east of Asia is a great destinations to travel to, in this article i would like to let you know more about Mekong delta in Vietnam side, for being in Vietnam you will need to have your Visa to Vietnam in advance, yes, that's true, you are in Vietnam now and thinking of a visit to Mekong delta regions, The Mekong Delta is the inclusions of the great Mekong river’s journey through south east Asia from the mountains of Tibet to Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

The Mekong Delta River is the world’s 12th largest in terms of length, The Mekong Delta River source from Jifu Mountains in Tibet it runs 4900 km through China’s Yunnan province, passing Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. But the Mekong Delta Rivers between Cambodia and the Vietnamese border near Chau Doc the Mekong splits into two and the Bassac River runs parallel to the main river as flowing to Vietnam.

Once into the Mekong Delta area in Vietnam side, the river splits further into a complex series of small canals and rivers where sediment from the river has been deposited and turned the region into an extremely fertile agricultural zone. This area is heavily cultivated and the rich soil enables enough rice to be produced to feed the whole country and even more to export. The colorful villages and Cai Be floating Market are one of Vietnam’s most visited tourist attractions.
Getting to Mekong Delta regions in South Vietnam
Most visitors to the Mekong Delta arrive on Daily Vietnam Package Tours from Ho Chi Minh City, or as part of the weeklyVietnam Package Tours , some travelers just visit the area for one day, in this case you should decide which part of Mekong Delta region you want to visit, while some other travelers include their journey for an Overnight stay.
Some adventurer Tourist, including myself, prefer to travel deeply to experience the life in Mekong Delta Regions, in this case you will need to rent a Motorbike, or travel independently with a Vietnamese Guide from Ho Chi Minh City
