  1. Mrauk U is one of the best places to go in Myanmar. Mrauk I is an ancient city, which was built in 16 century. There still remains many old temples, monasteries or ruined city wall of the former Rakhine. This temples in Mrauk U was built by stone instead of brick or mud as in Bagan. Some famous temples you should drop by are Htukkanthein, Koe thaung, Andaw-thein, Lemmythna, Ratana,... but the most place which is worth visiting is Shittaung Paya. This temple is usually a starting point of Mrauk U trip. The temple stores more than 80.000 statues of Buddha, and a large number of holy images inside. You can get inside from 7 am to 5 pm, and it costs k5000 for enter.
